About Vetevo
Vetevo was founded in April 2018 by Dr. Felix Röllecke & Mareile Wölwer. As the founders say, the brand was born from a need rather than an idea. The Vetevo’s goal was to make laboratory diagnostics accessible to every pet owner.
True to its vision, “A happy and healthy life for every pet,” today, Vetevo employs over 35 veterinarians, chemists, and biologists. The team analyzed hundreds of samples per day using state-of-the-art machines and a high accuracy level.

Vetevo Testing Technology
The testing technology Vetevo uses falls under the category of naturopathy – an approach that aims to solve the symptom while also addressing the cause.
When performing intolerance testing, Vetevo analyzes the sample (pet saliva or fur) by comparing its biophysical properties against those of potential offending items, such as food ingredients, grasses, and pollen.
Based on the analysis results, the difference between the biophysical properties, Vetevo determines which substances the pet does not tolerate.
The Vetevo Allergy Test Plus Dog covers more than 400 potential offenders, including over 250 foods (meat, fish, dairy, eggs, grains, oil/seeds, fruits, vegetables, salt, sugar, and herbs), over 120 inhalation irritants (allergenic mushrooms & pollen from grasses, herbs, shrubs, early bloomers, trees, conifers, flowering plants, and grains), and 32 food additives (natural and synthetic dyes; antioxidants and acidity regulators; sweeteners; emulsifies, thickeners, and gelling agents).
How Does the Vetevo Allergy Test Plus Dog Work?
The Vetevo Allergy Test Plus Dog works in a simple way that includes several steps. First, you need to order the test on the brand’s official website (https://vetevo.de/).
Then, download the free Vetevo app and activate the test as soon as the box arrives (to do this, use the QR code printed on the inside of the test kit). Once the test is active, it will be assigned to your pet’s sample.
Use the included sponge to swab your dog’s mouth (between the teeth and jaw or below the tongue). Keep the swab inside the mouth for around 10 seconds and ensure the dog has not eaten anything for at least 45 minutes before taking the sample.
Next, place the sample in the provided tube and break it off at the designated breaking point. Include two or three hairs (preferably from the dog’s stomach, chest, or neck) with roots in the same glass tube. The easiest way of collecting fur is by combing the dog.
Finally, close the glass tube using the lid and put it in the box. Throw the kit with the samples in the nearest mailbox and wait for the results, which will arrive in 14 days via the app.
In the meantime, you can track the progress of the test in the Vetevo app. The results are easy to interpret and come with recommendations and tips from the brand’s experts.
What Is Included in the Vetevo Allergy Test Plus Dog Kit?
The Vetevo Allergy Test Plus Dog comes in a kit that includes one collection tube for saliva and fur, one cotton swab for oral samples, and one conveniently marked label for free returns.
On the inside of the paper box in which the kit comes, there is a printed QR code for scanning, downloading the Vetevo app, and activating the test under the dog’s name and data.

Best Pet Intolerance Test Out There
“I’m so happy that I stumbled upon this intolerance test for my Pomeranian; she’s been battling black skin disease, hair loss, and thinning for two years. We couldn’t understand why she suddenly got it. Come to find out; she was allergic to everything we were feeding her, like her chicken kibble and even strawberries and berries. It hasn’t even been a month, and we’re already noticing her skin healing and new hair growth. I HIGHLY recommend this test for all parents whose vet told them that their Pomeranian has alopecia X; chances are your dog is just intolerant to something you’re feeding them. This was worth every penny! I wish I had known and found this sooner. THANKS, 5Strands!!! “

Best thing I’ve done for my dog’s health and happiness
“By far the best thing I’ve done for my dog’s health and happiness. I’ve done allergy tests by veterinarians before, and they don’t come close to this test. If I could give another star for the ease of the app, I would, and the quick search the app has to look up something on the test quickly is amazing. I highly recommend and will buy more for other dogs in my family. My pit bull had very bad allergies, and until this test, I couldn’t pinpoint what to eliminate; it turns out she was highly allergic to fish and poultry, which are supposed to be good for skin and coats. So I traded one allergy for another, trying to eliminate it without the test. Now that I have the results, she’s already itching less and not digging “into her neck and ears. Hopefully, she’ll be off allergy medication in the future. That you guys SO much for making this amazing product!!!!”
