“I’m extremely thankful we found this vet in our area. We recently moved here and were a bit nervous that we wouldn’t be able to find a vet that we would be comfortable taking our 10 year old dachshund to. This vet was clean, in a newer plaza with parking, and the entire staff was extremely professional and friendly. The doctor and staff handled our dog with care and answered all the questions I had with pleasure. We were given an estimate for best case and worst case cost scenarios for a dental cleaning and I’m really glad they were transparent with pricing. Overall I had a great experience here, and I know this will be our permanent vet from here on out! Thank you to Dr. Sumerfield and his technician Morgan!”

Real User’s Review:
“We love Park Hill Vet! We have been bringing out cat and dog here for 5 years. When we first moved to Denver, we went to a different vet’s office, where we felt that they were trying to oversell us by recommending unnecessary lab work for our cat. I am a medical professional, so I looked up the screening guidelines for older cats, and our cat did not meet criteria! When we then took our kitty to Park Hill for a yearly check up, I was told he is in great health. I asked if he needed any screening lab tests, and I was promptly told that he did not need them until the next year, but if I was worried, they could draw lab work. I appreciated the honesty and this immediately helped build trust with the practice. Both our dog and cat have had a few health scares, and the vets and techs have always been very thorough, attentive, and efficient. I am very surprised to see some of these negative reviews. I know that many vet practices are overwhelmed with “new patients” during COVID times, and I can imagine that this can be a bit challenging for our vet offices. Overall we have had great experiences with Park Hill, and wouldn’t trust anyone else to take care of our fur babies!”

“I have called every animal clinic in Loveland and Longmont (wasn’t happy with the one in Berthoud) to find another clinic that sees small animals. Google had Aspen Small Animal as permanently closed. My husband happened to call the number listed anyways. They are open!! I am so grateful to the entire staff! They were able to fit me in the very next morning. The vet tech is amazing! She is an animal whisperer! The doctor was a breath of fresh air. She is so caring not only to my pocket pet; to us as well! Her love for animals is apparent. She explained everything so clearly. Idgie is now on the proper doses of medications. The vet tech made sure I understood the life saving medication doses before we left. I will absolutely trust them with my other 12 pets!”

Real User’s Review:
“My dog and I are fans for LIFE. After two failed in-office vet visits–my rescue dog growled and cowered and could not be touched– I called A to Z. Dr z and Aspen spent an hour in my home patiently earning my dogs trust. I was shocked when my dog calmed enough to receive her shots and the most thorough vet exam of her life! They are experts with frightened, anxious, reactive dogs. Dr Z also provided excellent health info about my aging dog. I will not be going back to a traditional vet practice.”

Real User’s Review:
“We had to take our dog Harley here after a lacerated tendon in the back leg. I was taken to an exam room right away and after about 40 minutes, they took her back to be evaluated. They were able to suture the tendon that day and she was able to come home that night. The price was not as much as I would expect from an emergency pet hospital. Each week after that we were able to take her to the surgeon who completed the procedure for a re-bandage, splint change, and and overall check of the incision and condition of the repair. Appointments for our follow up were so easy, they took her back right away and each time was no more than an hour from start to finish. Each bandage change was a surprise as they put cute little sticky things on her bandage. The staff here are so wonderful and patient. Some observations I had when waiting were friendly front desk staff when patrons would come in concerned and frightened for the pets, techs who truly care and explain conditions and discharge plans on a level that a non-vet person could understand, and surgeons that truly care for the safety and welfare of our furry loves. I wish I could take my dogs here for normal vet visits; they are truly that caring. While we are still in the healing stages with our girl, I cannot be more grateful for this emergency vet hospital and thank them for all they have done. We highly recommend them!”
